Educational Workshops Reef Fish Gear
Rule/Catch and Release
These workshops will provide details about the new gear
requirements for all anglers fishing for reef fish from a vessel in the
Gulf of Mexico. These requirements are effective June 1, 2008 for state
and federal waters of the Gulf of Mexico. At these workshops, a brief
Power Point presentation explaining effective catch and release
techniques, the new gear requirements for reef fish, descriptions of the
gear and demonstrations of how to correctly use the gear will be
presented. Examples of the required tackle, a variety of marine
fisheries literature and other items will be available to workshop
participants.

May 13 - Pensacola Recreational Fishermen's Association

May 30 - Emerald Coast Reef Association monthly meeting,
